Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers have not gotten off to the kind of start that they wanted to so far this season. Through the first five games, the Packers hold a 2-2-1 record. Green Bay has had issues on both sides of the football, but most surprisingly their offense has been sputtering early on.

Ahead of the Packers' Week 5 matchup with the Detroit Lions, Rodgers had blown the offense up for not performing up to the level needed. Following a disappointing loss, Rodgers feels that the team is heading in the right direction.

In a press conference shared by Packers News, Rodgers stated that the Packers' offense is “close to getting things going.”

“We’re very close to getting things going and like I said (in 2016), I’ll say again now, I feel like if we can get off to a better start on offense, it makes the entire squad play with a different type of confidence.”

There is no denying the talent that the Packers have on the offensive side of the football. Obviously, Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all-time. They have Davante Adams, Randall Cobb, Jimmy Graham, and a talented trio of running backs around him.

Mike McCarthy knows that his seat is getting hot with the offense struggling. He has received criticism for not playing second-year running back Aaron Jones more, which he admits needs to change moving forward.

That being said, the Packers are more than capable of turning things up and getting back into serious contention in the NFC.

Rodgers has put together a solid season thus far, completing 63 percent of his pass attempts for 1,572 yards, 10 touchdowns, and just one interception.

Expect to see the Packers get things going on Monday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers. Green Bay is too talented of a football team to continue the struggles they have had so far this season.
