The Green Bay Packers weren't able to get Aaron Rodgers to the Super Bowl for the second time in his NFL career, as the San Francisco 49ers throttled them in the NFC Championship to the tune of a 37-24 win.

The Packers finished the regular season 13-3. They finished the year as the NFC's second seed. Despite so,  they were thoroughly outmatched by the 49ers, who ran all over them and pressured Rodgers all night long with their outstanding defensive line.

Rodgers doesn't think the Packers are done. Instead, he thinks the team's championship window is still open.

The window is open for us, and that’s the exciting thing,” Rodgers told reporters after the 37-20 loss to the 49ers, via Pro Football Talk. “I think we’re gonna be on the right side of one of these real soon.”

The Packers won ugly all season long, often winning in the late moments of games that they should have won handily. Ultimately, their ways of winning ugly caught up to them, as the 49ers stomped them on Sunday. Rodgers figures it was a team that found their way to their record, rather than winning on sheer talent alone.

“I wouldn’t say this was our most talented team,” Rodgers added, “but neither was 2010. And we just found a way.”

Green Bay should be contenders again in 2020. Rodgers, despite his age (36), is still a force to be reckoned with on the field, and their defense has improved mightily. If the Packers can give the two-time MVP some more weapons to pass to, Green Bay could be in-store for another playoff run.
