The Green Bay Packers may have felt cheated from going 2-0 to start the 2018 NFL season following a controversial tie with the Minnesota Vikings. Fortunately, they can take solace in the fact that quarterback Aaron Rodgers appears to be healthy enough to play moving forward.

There was plenty of speculation regarding his status after suffering a knee injury in the season opener. However, according to ESPN's Rob Demovsky, head coach Mike McCarthy said Rodgers is still feeling sore after Sunday's game:

Mike McCarthy said Aaron Rodgers is “obviously sore, but that's to be expected. But he's a warrior, what he gave us yesterday was outstanding. I don't have a read on whether he's better this week than last week.”

While it is not the most encouraging update, McCarthy gave no indication about his status being in jeopardy moving forward. That said, this is good news for the Packers as they get set to hit the road for the first time this year.

Rodgers was certainly not his usual magnificent self in Week 2. He completed 30-of-42 passes for 281 yards and a touchdown. He also managed to tack on eight yards on three rushes. His less-than-stellar performance can be attributed to a combination of his lingering knee injury and going against a formidable Vikings defense. They certainly tested his durability on Sunday after he was sacked four times and hit another five times. Although it is never fun for a franchise quarterback to take a beating, it was encouraging to see that Rodgers was able to withstand it to nearly beat Minnesota.
