Green Bay Packers superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a busy offseason when the fiasco with the front office wasn't being discussed.

Amongst many things, Rodgers was a gust host on the show Jeopardy! Now, it's possible he could have the chance to be the full time host again.

It was recently announced that executive producer Mike Richards was taking over as the full-time host after the passing of Alex Trebek. It was said that Richards self-appointed himself as the new host amongst a huge list of potential candidates that included the Packers' quarterback.

With old podcasts surfacing of Richards in a not so great light, he stepped down from the spot at Jeopardy! on Friday. Perhaps the Packers' signal caller could be in line to replace him?

Rodgers gushed earlier this summer after he guest hosted and he talked about the experience as a whole with NFL.com's Adam Schein.

“That was so much fun. That was just so much fun,” Rodgers said of his guest-host stint. “I spent a lot of time studying and getting ready for it. I definitely wanted it, was interested in finding a way to make it work with my schedule and their schedule and filming. But I had such a blast. I have zero regrets with how it all went. It was such a special environment. It was surreal to be on that stage.”

Rodgers is back with the Packers after a rocky offseason but he was asked in that same interview earlier this summer if he would've taken the job had it been offered to him.

“Yeah, I definitely would've,” Rodgers told Schein. “I mean, if they would have figured out a way to make it work with my schedule, yeah, for sure.”

That door might be open again for the Packers quarterback and a long list of other hosts who helped fill in.
