Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers made headlines for the nth time a couple weeks back for his infamous toe injury, which he strongly emphasized was not due to COVID-19.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur was asked about the toe injury as Aaron Rodgers has continued to power through it in recent weeks. According to him, there are no immediate plans for Rodgers to have a surgery on it.

Via Pro Football Talk:

“Not to my knowledge,” the Packers coach said in his Monday press conference. “I don’t believe so, no.

“I know he was getting treatment and doing everything he can to be 100 percent,” LaFleur said. “I still think it’s a process, like anything, and we’ll see where he’s’ at this week. Hopefully, we can get him out there at practice, but if not we’ve got a lot of confidence in just his ability to go out there and play at a high level.”

Rodgers appeared on the Pat McAfee show the previous week to discuss the state of his toe injury. According to the Packers QB, he wouldn't even have to miss a game even if he did have surgery. But of course, anytime a star player undergoes an operation under the knife will always give fans pause.

Thankfully signs point to Aaron Rodgers being able to play through it, and potentially push any type of procedure on it to the offseason.
