The Green Bay Packers opted to make a splash by moving up to take Utah State quarterback Jordan Love with the 26th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. It seems even his new teammates are well aware of the reaction this will spark in quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rather than bring in some potential help on offense, the Packers decided to bring in his successor in Love. Left tackle David Bakhtiari said during the ‘Draft-A-Thon' LIVE show that it will surely light a fire under Rodgers for the 2020 NFL season:

“Let me tell y'all something right now: Look out!” Packers left tackle David Bakhtiari said. “Aaron is about to be on fire.”

Bakhtiari says the added motivation will help Rodgers kick tings up a notch.

“Look, he's already great when he is just chill,” Bakhtiari explained. “But when I've seen him when he gets riled up … Wooo! Getting my hair raised up right now, thinking about this.”

Bakhtiari's comments are certainly intriguing from a locker room standpoint. Green Bay fell one game short of a Super Bowl in the 2019 NFL season. And it became clear that they were in need of some more help for Rodgers. Instead, the front office opted to pair a fourth-round pick to move up four spots and take Love.

It appears the Packers' decision has already put the rest of the team on notice of what to expect for Rodgers next season. They had not used a first-round pick on a skill position player since they took him in 2005, only to finally use it on his future replacement.

Although the coaching staff and front office could soon be getting the cold shoulder, the biggest victim of Rodgers' wrath will be opposing defenses in the 2020 campaign.
