Packers star Aaron Rodgers will guest host ‘Jeopardy!’ in honor of ‘idol’ Alex Trebek
Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers is currently pursuing his second Lombardi Trophy. But he is also awaiting the opportunity to honor his late idol, former “Jeopardy!” host Alex Trebek.
Rodgers said on the Pat McAfee Show the legendary Trebek was one of his role models growing up. He also made reference to an appearance he made on the show as a celebrity contestant back in 2015.
The two-time MVP revealed to McAfee he will be one of the guest hosts for an upcoming episode of the popular game show.

A brief clip of Rodgers’ 2015 appearance can be seen below, including the esteemed outfit choice he chastised himself for during his conversation with McAfee.
In the meantime, Rodgers and the Packers are making preparations for their NFC Divisional Round matchup with the Los Angeles Rams.
Los Angeles is coming off an impressive effort against the Seattle Seahawks. The Rams held Russell Wilson and Co. under 300 yards of total offense, forcing a pair of turnovers and sacking Wilson five times.
Rodgers will have his hands full with Aaron Donald and Leonard Floyd causing havoc up front and Jalen Ramsey likely shadowing Davante Adams. But the presumptive league MVP had had time to rest and watch film with the Packers on a bye last week. Plus, he enters the playoffs on a roll.
The 37-year-old threw eight combined touchdowns in Green Bay’s final two regular-season matchups. Rodgers is also as good as any at moving around in the pocket and extending plays, which will make him a challenge for Los Angeles’ defensive front.
Rodgers will hope to add to his trophy case before honoring the late Trebek as a guest host on “Jeopardy!”.
