Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb have been extremely close since Cobb was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in 2011 and Rodgers knows that he is going to be miss Cobb. Rodgers was at a Kentucky Derby event over the weekend and said that he is going to miss having Cobb on the field, but the two will still make sure to spend a lot of time together during the offseason.

“Of course,” Rodgers said to the Lexington Herald-Leader. “That's why we do stuff like this so we can hang out. He's living 1,000 miles away now.”

Rodgers always brings a group of Packers players every year to the Derby and this year even though Cobb is with the Dallas Cowboys, he was invited.

Cobb has dealt with injuries the last few years and that might be a reason the Packers decided to move on from him. Last season, he only played in nine games, catching 38 passes for 383 yards and two touchdowns.

Before the Packers' Week 17 game, Cobb and Rodgers shared an emotional moment that Cobb explained after the game.

“I mean, obviously with the uncertainty, not knowing what the future holds, just taking in the moment,” Cobb said of the moment with Rodgers via 247 Sports. “You know, it is what it is. I’ve enjoyed being here. I’ve enjoyed playing with him. So, we just had a moment together.”

“There’s so many memories that I have here,” he added. “I can’t think of them all off the top of my head right now. I think after sitting back and reflecting, I might be able to give you a better answer. I don’t really have one right now.”

The Packers and Cowboys face off on October 6th, so it will be a chance for Rodgers and Cobb to catch up again, even if the two are on opposite sidelines.
