Third-year wide receiver Allen Lazard has been a revelation for the Green Bay Packers as he emerged to be a key contributor for the team's offense thus far. The indefinite absence of WR1 Davante Adams will give him a bigger role along with more touches in the team's coming games.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur lauded the performance of Lazard this season:

“Allen’s been just such a consistent performer for us,” he said, via Wes Hodkiewicz of the team’s official website. “He’s earned everything that he’s gotten. I think he has got the respect of all his teammates. I can speak for the coaches, he’s got all our respect, and he has become a really, really consistent high-level player for our offense.”

The former Iowa State standout had six catches for a career-high 146 yards and a scored touchdown against the New Orleans Saints. His productivity on the wings gave the Packers their third-straight win to start the season.

Lazard also credited quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the success that the team has attained so far:

“I think we have the best deep-ball thrower in the league, if not NFL history,” he said of Rodgers. “To be able to go out there and connect on those plays I think is huge… Not only builds confidence for us, it takes away their confidence, their energy if they were to have any.”

The 16-year veteran playmaker continued to lead the team's offense as he recorded a total of 283 passing yards on a 21-of-32 completion along with three passing touchdowns.

The Packers will need their players to step up as their top scoring option in Adams continues to remain on the sidelines for the time being. The team will aim to continue their winning ways as they match up with the Atlanta Falcons in Week 4 proceedings.
