15 years ago, the Green Bay Packers selected Aaron Rodgers in the first round of the NFL Draft.

Rodgers remembered this moment on social media. And as B/R Gridiron pointed out, Favre had some fun with the post. He used it as a chance to joke about how the situation went down in Green Bay.

Some people were confused when the Packers drafted Rodgers, as they still had Brett Favre at the time. However, while he was a legend, Favre was aging. So the idea was that Rodgers would take over for him once he retired.

That's exactly what happened a few seasons after drafting Rodgers. Except Favre decided he did not want to retire just yet a little bit later. He ended up going to the New York Jets, as he felt the Packers wanted to stick with Rodgers.

Of course, this worked out well for Green Bay. Rodgers has become one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play. How rarely is it do you see that? The Packers went from a legend in Favre to a legend in Rodgers. They never really had a recovery period in between.

When Green Bay drafted Rodgers, there were a lot of rumors that Favre was unhappy. And there were a lot of rumors that the two did not get along very well during their time together.

However, even if those were true, it appears the two are getting along pretty well now.

Could Jordan Love run into the same situation? Not the rumors of unhappiness, but the “running” Rodgers out of town? In a few seasons could we seeing the passing of the torch once again? Or does 36-year-old Rodgers have too much football left in him for the Packers to pass up on in a few years?
