Based on their playoff performance this year, the Green Bay Packers only need a couple of pieces before they make another Super Bowl run. Head coach Matt LaFleur will be looking to improve the team, and one major sports network predicts the Packers going for a defensive boost in the coming 2020 NFL Draft.
CBS Sports' Pick Six NFL Podcast talked about the coming draft and the type of players that the teams will be taking through the draft. With the 30th pick in the draft, it would be hard for them to figure out which player they should be getting for their team. However, they might go for Oregon linebacker Troy Dye.

Dye may not have first-round athleticism, but he's the most polished coverage linebacker in the class and has a gigantic tackling radius. It's rare to find him out of place on the field.
The Draft Network supported CBS' assessment of the linebacker, saying that he has great awareness to be an effective defender who can immediately recognize between a run and a pass and make the right decisions. However, his strength is a major concern for his position. His lack of power will make him a liability if he doesn't sort it out immediately.
The Packers were done in by the San Francisco 49ers in the NFC Championship Game due to their inability to stop any runs through the middle, like Raheem Mostert's monster, four-touchdown performance. Adding a young talent like Dye to the defensive line should shore up their run defense and boost their chances of making Super Bowl LV.
