As the Green Bay Packers prepare to search for their next head coach, Colin Cowherd thinks he knows who they should hire. Josh McDaniels has been rumored as a potential candidate and Cowherd thinks that he is the perfect man for the job. He would bring the type of offensive game plan that would fit Aaron Rodgers perfectly.

In a clip from The Herd, Cowherd explained why he thinks that McDaniels is the right guy for Green Bay. He also stated that McDaniels could not fail in his second tenure as a head coach.

Green Bay can't afford to waste anymore time with Rodgers beginning to approach the end of his prime. Rodgers is 34 years old and certainly isn't getting any younger.

Over the last couple of seasons, it has become apparent that the Packers' offense has been figured out by opposing defenses. McCarthy's old-school style of offense simply was not working anymore. That led to the Packers firing him after an embarrassing loss at home against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

McDaniels has found a lot of success as the New England Patriots' offensive coordinator. His unique system has been a force to be reckoned with. Having a quarterback like Rodgers and the talent around him would be an intriguing match with McDaniels.

Other candidates are going to be considered and there is a good chance that the Packers could decide to go with another coach. That being said, McDaniels, if he is willing to leave the Patriots, would likely be the best fit.

Expect to hear more rumors and opinions about who the Packers should hire this offseason. For now, however, Joe Philbin will attempt to help Green Bay finish the 2018 season with pride and get back to the way Green Bay should run things.
