The Green Bay Packers have made some notable moves to their group of wide receivers over the last several that saw them ink Davante Adams to a massive extension while part ways with veteran Jordy Nelson in free agency back in March. This has put a tremendous amount of pressure on Randall Cobb to finally step up as a reliable main cog in the passing game.

Although Cobb is currently dealing with a nagging right ankle injury that has led to him using a walking boot at this juncture of the offseason, Adams has lofted some massive praise by complimenting his work ethic, according to Rob Demovsky of ESPN.

Cobb has been one of the primary offensive weapons in the passing game for the Packers over the last several years. However, his production has dropped in each of the last three years since his breakout 2014 campaign as he has recorded fewer than 70 catches and 660 receiving yards in each of the past two seasons.

There could be an opportunity for him to finally bounce back in 2018 where he could grab a much larger role with the departure of Nelson that may allow him to produce at a Pro Bowl level. Cobb has shown to have game-changing talent; it has just been a matter of him staying healthy and proving it with his play on the field on a consistent basis.

However, the 27-year-old will first get past this latest injury that could derail much of his offseason, but he's expected to be on the field for the season opener. With this marking the last year of his four-year, $40 million that could provide him enough additional motivation to put together a stellar 2018 campaign.
