Davante Adams is quickly becoming a star in this NFL with the Green Bay Packers. He is the clear number one target for superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers with a bright future ahead.

Growing up, it wasn't the Packers that Adams was cheering for, it was a player on the rival team that caught his attention, Randy Moss. Via ESPN.

“Randy Moss. He's the best receiver to do it, from an athletic standpoint, and God blessed him to be superior. You could just tell from his speed and the way he went and got the ball, everything was effortless in the way he played. I felt like his path was similar to mine in sports. I feel like I've got a lot of God-given abilities plus the work that I've put in.”

Adams said he met Moss at the Hall of Fame game and told him about how much he looked up to him and wanted to be like him.

“I met him at the Hall of Fame Game. … I said, ‘You're the guy, you've always been. … You're the guy I watched the most and want to fill those type of shoes.'”

Adams is athletic, a lot like Moss was, and now with Jordy Nelson gone, even more pressure falls on the shoulders of the young receiver.

He is entering his fifth year in the league and expectations are that he will finish the season with more than 1000 yards receiving.

Last year, he finished 885 yards, and he didn't have Rodgers throwing to him most of the year. Rodgers is going to need to rely more on Adams this year, which should make for a very good year.
