Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams is listed as doubtful for his team's Week 8 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs due to a toe injury, according to Josh Alper of Pro Football Talk.

Adams initially suffered the injury during the Packers' Week 4 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and has not played since.

He said on Thursday that he feels “two million” times better but that he is still “a little limited,” via The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Amazingly enough, Green Bay has not missed a beat in his absence, winning three straight games and averaging 33 points per game in the process. On top of that, Aaron Rodgers is coming off of what was, by far, his best performance of 2019, throwing for 429 yards and five touchdowns in a blowout win over the Oakland Raiders last weekend.

But make no mistake: the Packers need their No. 1 receiver back.

In the time he has been on the field this season, Adams has logged 25 catches for 378 yards, with 10 of those grabs and 180 yards coming during the aforementioned loss to the Eagles.

The 26-year-old, who played his collegiate football at Fresno State, was originally selected by Green Bay in the second round (53rd pick overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft.

Adams made his first Pro Bowl in 2017, catching 74 passes for 885 yards and 10 touchdowns. He then enjoyed his best season to date last year, hauling in 111 receptions for 1,386 yards and 13 scores, earning his second straight trip to the Pro Bowl.

The Packers are currently 6-1 and will be playing a Chiefs team that will be without Patrick Mahomes this Sunday.
