The Green Bay Packers pulled out an impressive 24-23 comeback win over the Chicago Bears in Week 1. However, the team suffered a few key injuries that included Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams dealing with shoulder issues.

This has pushed him out of practice on Wednesday that now has the potential to force him to miss Sunday's game against the Minnesota Vikings, according to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk.

With all the talk about whether quarterback Aaron Rodgers will play on Sunday against the Vikings, another injured Packer has gone unnoticed.

Receiver Davante Adams has a shoulder injury, and it’s bad enough that he didn’t practice on Wednesday.

The fact that it pushed Adams out of practice is notable as it speaks to the severity of the injury. It is something that arose late in the game, but it has put some doubt on whether he will be able to take the field as it is more than likely that he will need to showcase in practice that he can play through it without it genuinely limiting his ability to be a factor in the passing game.

He had shown that during the season opener against the Bears by recording five catches for 88 receiving yards and a touchdown. This included a huge 51-yard catch that helped push the momentum further in Green Bay’s favor prior to him making a 12-yard touchdown reception on the same drive. Adams has developed a strong connection with Rodgers that has helped become a key part of the offensive game plan as one of the primary targets.

If Adams is forced to sit out, this should push an even greater onus on Randall Cobb to be the leading receiving option for the Packers while Geronimo Allison would also see an increased role. All of this should see much-needed clarity in the coming days.
