Green Bay Packers star wide receiver Davante Adams has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, putting his status for Thursday Night Football against the Arizona Cardinals in doubt. The Packers announced the move on Monday afternoon.

Losing Adams would be a brutal blow for Aaron Rodgers and the Packers against the undefeated Cardinals. Green Bay moved to 6-1 on the season with a 24-10 win over the Washington Football Team on Sunday, while Arizona is 7-0 after thrashing the Houston Texans. The Cardinals are the lone undefeated team remaining in the NFL this season.

Adams caught six passes for 76 yards and a touchdown in the win over Washington. In seven games this season, the star wide receiver has 52 catches for 744 yards and three touchdowns. While his scoring is way down from 2020 (a whopping 18 touchdowns), he has still been incredibly productive. He has never recorded over 100 yards per game in his career, and he's currently at 106.3.

This Adams news comes after Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry tested positive for COVID-19. Barry plans to virtually help come up with a game plan to stop the mighty Cardinals offense, but there's a good chance he misses the game.
