For the second straight day, wide receiver Davante Adams was limited at Green Bay Packers practice, per the team's official website. The two-time Pro Bowl wide-out is suffering from a turf toe injury sustained in Week 4's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Adams played in Week 9's loss to the Los Angeles Chargers. In the process, he logged seven receptions for 41 yards. Despite playing last Sunday, he does not feel as if he is 100%.

“It gets beat up a little bit, but it’s definitely no setbacks. Nothing like that,” Adams said of his toe on Wednesday, according to Ryan Wood, Jim Owczarski and Tom Silverstein of Packers News. “We just want to be smart so I can heal up and continue to get better and better. I’m obviously healed at this point, but as far as being a thousand percent back to myself, I wouldn’t quite say I’m quite there yet.”

Turf toe injuries can be nagging ailments, particularly for wide receivers. Often, a receiver lacks their foot speed when bogged down with the injury. In Adams' case, he is likely feeling that, especially considering his production stems from his speedy release and refined footwork.

Despite practicing in a limited fashion and not being 100%, there is a possibility that Adams faces the Carolina Panthers on Sunday. However, the Packers will be cautious with their approach in nursing the injury. The last thing they want to do is rush their star receiver back, particularly if it jeopardizes his long-term outlook in 2019.
