The Green Bay Packers' drama with Aaron Rodgers continues to carry on further and further into the offseason. Perhaps there will be an answer by the time training camp rolls around in July, but who really knows at this point.

Appearing on The Pat McAfee show on Monday, Packers All-Pro left tackle David Bakhtiari threw in his two cents on the ongoing dilemma between the league MVP and Green Bay's front office:

While Bakhtiari did note he's just sitting back with his popcorn while this all unravels, he did note a possible resolution could come at the end of July or early August. That's not him reporting knowledge of anything, but more so a timeline of training camp lining up with something needing to give before the preseason begins.

The Packers have not budged from their stance that they do not intend on trading Rodgers.

President Mark Murphy certainly didn't help the cause with his recent comments about Rodgers:

“I'm often reminded though … of Ted Thompson, as most of you know, just a great general manager, passed away (earlier this year),” Murphy said, according to NBC 26 in Green Bay. “(Thompson) often talked about Aaron, that he's a … and it wasn't just Aaron, a lot of different players. He would say, ‘He's a complicated fella.' So, I'll just say that.” – Mark Murphy.

Perhaps the better route would've been to say nothing at all, but, hey, to each his own.

One thing is certain and that is a resolution, whether that's Rodgers back in a Packers uniform or somewhere else, will be best for both sides to come at a time sooner rather than later. For now, the grudge remains strong, and we'll just have to wait and see how things play out.

Go get that popcorn ready alongside Bakhtiari.
