The Green Packers are heading into week 3 action eyeing their second win of the season on the road against the Washington Redskins.

This will have some increased firepower with second-year running back Aaron Jones returning to the fold after servicing a two-game suspension to begin the 2018 campaign, according to Brian Jones of 247 Sports.

Aaron Jones will be back with the Packers this week and he comes at a perfect time. On Monday, Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said Jones will be activated to the 53-man roster this week

In his brief time in the league, Jones has shown to be a major factor in the backfield for the Packers proving that he could be their lead back with playmaking ability. When had the chance to step into a prominent role last season he posted a pair of first two 100-yard performances that fueled a solid year that saw him finish with 448 rushing yards on 81 carries and four touchdowns along with nine catches for 22 receiving yards before injuries played a factor in the equation. This allowed for Jamaal Williams to step into the picture to grab the lead back spot where produced at a steady pace.

This is a chance for Jones to once again reclaim a sizeable role in the offense as Williams has notched 107 rushing yards on 31 carries with three catches for 12 receiving yards. He has shown to be the more explosive offensive talent that could provide the missing burst in the running game that the Packers haven't through the first two games of the season. Green Bay has been one of the more productive offenses in the league that has largely been led by Aaron Rodgers in the passing game.

The Packers will likely work to ease him back into the fold while splitting the duties with Williams while Ty Montgomery should etch some playing time as well against the Redskins.
