The Green Bay Packers recently activated linebacker Christian Kirksey from the team's injured reserve list ahead of their Week 10 tilt against the Jacksonville Jaguars, as per Fansided‘s Parker Moes. A pectoral injury has kept the former Iowa standout on the sidelines since Oct. 3 and last saw action on the field back in their Week 3 encounter against the New Orleans Saints.

The veteran has already made his presence felt in his first season with the Packers after coming over from a six-year stint with the Cleveland Browns. He successfully lived up to expectations and bolstered the Packers' defensive rotation this season.

Before he went down with the injury, Kirksey led the Packers in total tackles with 27 accounting for nine assisted and 18 solo. Rookie linebacker Krys Barnes has seen more action in lieu of his absence and even managed to hold his ground against opposing offensive players. His valiant effort led him to tally 50 combined tackles, three tackles for loss, and one quarterback hit through eight games played this season.

With Kirksey's return, he will be playing alongside Barnes and another rookie defender in Kamal Martin to banner the Packers' linebacker corps. The Wisconsin-based squad is currently enjoying a 6-2 record to sit atop the AFC South division.

They will be aiming to snag their seventh win at the expense of the Jaguars who are currently on a seven-game losing skid. Having a veteran like Christian Kirksey back at the helm will help Green Bay find its dominant form as they head towards the crucial stages of their campaign and into the postseason.
