Similar to most teams, the Green Bay Packers are gearing up for free agency. However, they are in a wait-and-see approach with Bryan Bulaga. With less than a month until free agency, Green Bay hasn't begun contract talks with Bulaga.

Most teams prior to free agency are awaiting the decision from the players pertaining to the new proposed CBA from the NFL. In the event that the players vote in favor of the CBA, the salary cap could increase by nearly $10 million.

Provided that, the Packers could be anxiously waiting to see what happens before they begin speaking to their free agents. At the same time, they've already made it a priority to re-sign Mason Crosby.

For Bulaga, the veteran offensive tackle could garner an expensive contract for a team in need of some help on the offensive line. Depending on what he commands on the open market, he may price himself out of Green Bay. Even after the 2019 season concluded, Bulaga realized that he could've already played his final home game at Lambeau Field.

Back in 2010, the Packers selected Bulaga in the first round of the NFL Draft out of Iowa. Since arriving to the NFL, Bulaga has been a cornerstone of Green Bay's offensive front.

Currently, the Packers don't have a reliable replacement if Bulaga signs elsewhere in free agency. But if Bulaga has a team offer him a lucrative deal, Green Bay could immediately have a glaring need at right tackle.

Just a few days after free agency begins, Bulaga is set to turn 31-years-old. Despite entering his 11th season, the Packers would be wise to do everything in their power to retain Bulaga this offseason.
