Several NFL teams have cause to groan a little bit after the release of the official league schedule on Wednesday. The Green Bay Packers are among that group.

As detailed by USA Today, the Packers are the only team to play a road game after a Monday night road game.

The Packers have a brutal stretch to end the season. After a home game against the Bears, they play a road game on Monday night against the Vikings, which is followed by another road game after a short week. Green Bay is the only team in the entire league to play a road game after a Monday night game on the road.

While NFL teams know who they’re playing in any given season well before the schedule is announced, that doesn’t mean the schedule release isn’t an important day for teams. When during the season certain matchups occur, where those games are played and other factors can make or break a season.

Things like playing teams after their bye weeks, playing key games on short weeks and travel time matter.

The Packers will be looking to make a playoff push this season with quarterback Aaron Rodgers healthy and new coach Matt LaFleur giving new direction and guidance to an offense that had largely stalled for much of the past two seasons.

The schedule didn't seem to do the team many favors there.
