The Green Bay Packers are already thin at the wide receiver position and they got even thinner in the past week. According to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the Packers have placed Equanimeous St. Brown on injured reserve on Saturday.

Brown wasn't active for the Packers in Week 1 when the team took on the Minnesota Vikings. It was discovered this week that he's been dealing with a knee injury and has been unable to practice.

As a result, the former sixth-round pick will be headed to injured reserve and will be out for at least three weeks. While Brown wasn't a primary member of Green Bay's receiving corps, it could incite a move for the Packers.

Of course, it was a welcomed sight for Packers fans to see Davante Adams, Allen Lazard, and Marquez Valdes-Scantling all have productive outings in Week 1. All three of them caught at least one touchdown from Aaron Rodgers against the Vikings.

As for Brown, he was selected in the sixth round of the 2018 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. In his rookie season for Green Bay in 2018, Brown hauled in 21 receptions for 328 yards in a limited role.

However, after showing flashes of potential in his debut season, Brown would end up being placed on season-ending injured reserve in 2019. The 6-foot-5 wide receiver missed the entire season due to a severe ankle injury.

With Brown needing time to heal from his recent knee ailment, the Packers could very well add someone or promote someone to the active roster. In all likeliness, Robert Foster — who the team signed to their practice squad — could see himself get an opportunity soon.
