The 2020 NFL Draft is going to be a very interesting one for the Green Bay Packers. After an impressive 13-3 regular season and a trip to the NFC Championship Game last season, GM Brian Gutekunst knows that he needs to make some improvements. One of those improvements has to come at the inside linebacker position.

It appears the Packers may already have an eye on a player that would be a massive upgrade. Matt Schneidman of The Athletic shared a quote from Oklahoma standout linebacker Kenneth Murray, who stated that his first formal interview at the NFL Draft Combine was with Green Bay.

Murray and the Packers have been connected quite a bit already throughout the draft process. He is a dominant inside linebacker that brings speed, sure tackling, and leadership to the field. Green Bay's defense would take a big step forward with him.

Last season with the Sooners, Murray put together a big season. He racked up 102 total tackles, four sacks, and four defended passes. Those numbers show how impressive of a prospect he is and why the Packers should have serious interest in him.

Green Bay is a piece or two away from competing for a Super Bowl. They need to improve their offense a bit around Aaron Rodgers and adding to their defense with pieces like Murray would be the other need. Gutekunst shouldn't even think twice if Murray is on the board and he should take him immediately.

Expect to hear more about Murray to the Packers in the coming weeks. He is going to interest quite a few other teams as well, but the Packers make perfect sense.
