On Tuesday afternoon, the Green Bay Packers proudly announced on their team's official website that standout defensive tackle Mike Daniels will be headed to the 2018 Pro Bowl after Los Angeles Rams superstar Aaron Donald won't be able to participate due to an undisclosed injury.
Daniels will finally make his first trip to the Pro Bowl after being named an alternate each of the past three seasons. In a 2017-18 Packers season that was marred by injuries and frustration, Daniels was a very bright spot for Green Bay. In 14 games, he tied a career-best 49 tackles while finishing third on the team with five sacks.
In a post to his personal Twitter account, Daniels also was sure to thank all of his supporters for voting him into the Pro Bowl this season.
“I'm incredibly thankful to GOD and honored to make it to my 1st Pro Bowl!! Thank you to all of my fans and opponents for voting me in!!” Daniels said on Twitter.

Daniels is the first Packers defensive lineman to make the Pro Bowl since former defensive tackle and NFC Championship Game hero B.J. Raji was selected during the 2011-12 season.
Daniels, who was drafted in the fourth round out of Iowa in 2012, has emerged as one of the Packers' most consistent performers on defense over the last few years. He has recorded at least 4.0 sacks per season dating back to 2013. Davis missed two games due to a hip injury early this season which snapped a streak of 87 consecutive games played.
