Green Bay Packers interim head coach Joe Philbin decided to address his early challenges in Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons with a little bit of humor.

Philbin's tenure as coach got off to an interesting start when he used both available challenges less than two minutes into the game, and to make matters worse, he lost both of them.

That had to create some concerns for Green Bay fans, but the lack of challenges didn't matter as the Packers rolled to a 34-20 victory.

With a win under his belt in his first game, that let Philbin respond to the situation with some comedy.

From Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette:

#Packers interim HC Joe Philbin joking about 2 early challenges: “I had enough big decisions to make during the course of the day, that I didn't want to have to make anymore. So I kind of got that out of the way.” Then adds: “Plus the flag didn’t fit very good in my pocket.”

It was a much-needed victory for Aaron Rodgers and company after what was one of the most noteworthy weeks in the franchise's history.

Green Bay fired former head coach Mike McCarthy following the Week 13 loss to the Arizona Cardinals, and many wondered what the response would be from the struggling Packers.

But they responded in a big way with the convincing victory, and perhaps that will help the Packers finish the season on a strong note before welcoming in a new head coach on the sidelines.
