The Green Bay Packers have made their hire of a new offensive coordinator as they are bringing on former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.

Hackett did not have much success with the Jags, but it's worth noting the drastic talent differential in comparison to the Packers. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers will likely be challenged as Rapoport stated, considering the offensive coaching staff has a completely revamped look. The talent that Hackett will be getting is incredibly different, as he will have fantastic young wide receivers to work with. Davante Adams is one of the best young receivers in the league and the Packers also have one of the league's best tight ends in Jimmy Graham. The Packers will likely also look to feature running back Aaron Jones in a big way next season.

Hackett was burdened with a poor quarterback position with the Jags as well as under-achieving wide receivers and an injury prone workhorse-running back. The Jags had a lot of potential on offense with wide receivers Dede Westbrook and Keelan Cole as well as running back Leonard Fournette. The main problem was quarterback Blake Bortles. Bortles has been incredibly inconsistent over the years and often appears to prefer throwing into opposing defenses rather than his own players.

The Packers have a potentially fantastic hire at offensive coordinator as he will likely be in heavy accordance with newly appointed head coach Matt LaFleur. Green Bay's new head coach has stated that he intends to call the plays. It will be interesting to see what he and Hackett can do to make the most of the Packers'  potent offense.
