Green Bay Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander and the rest of the defense mostly kept the Atlanta Falcons in check on Monday night.

Alexander also wants to let the people know how it is Falcons receiver Calvin Ridley was shut out for the contest.

The 23-year-old took to Instagram for some self-promotion on Tuesday morning after Ridley–who went for over 100 yards in each of his past three games–failed to record a single reception against Alexander and the Packers.

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan completed 28 of 39 passes for 285 yards, but he failed to throw a single touchdown pass and was also sacked four times.

Atlanta also lost Julio Jones due to a hamstring injury after he racked up four catches for 32 yards in his first 15 offensive snaps. That meant the focus shifted to Ridley, and Alexander would not let him shake free.

Alexander is steadily cementing himself as one of the top man-cover corners in football. He finished the 2019 campaign with 17 passes defended, and is off to an even better start this year.

Opposing quarterbacks are completing 62.5 percent of their passes when targeting Alexander, but he is limiting receivers to just 5.7 yards per target, per Pro Football Reference.

Ridley nearly had a very consequential reception late in the fourth quarter.

Ryan floated one to the middle of the end zone on a fourth down with just under four minutes to play and Atlanta trailing by 14. Ridley was all alone, but the pass was slightly under thrown, and Packers safety Adrian Amos got a touch on the ball at the last second to pry it from Ridley's hands.

The Packers' offense has played a significant role in the team's 4-0 start, but Alexander and the defense are coming up big against some of the best players in the game.
