Former Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson decided to hang up his cleats up after being let go by the Oakland Raiders last month. But he knows if Aaron Rodgers calls and asks him to come back, it's going to be hard for him to say no.

Nelson was making an appearance Wednesday on The Dan Patrick Show and told Patrick it's something that would be hard to do.

Nelson also said that either way he still wants to sign a one day contract with the Packers so he can retire with the team he spent the first ten years of his team.

The big question is do the Packers even want him back. Perhaps Rodgers would take him back in a heartbeat, but that doesn't mean the team is going to sign him to another contract.

Davante Adams, Geronimo Allison, Equanimeous St. Brown, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Jake Kumerow, and J'Mon Moore are all on the team and there is some good young talent that is going to be around for years to come.

There are always injuries in sports though, and maybe if a couple of receivers go down during the offseason or training camp then the team could make a call.

There could be other players though that the Packers already have their eye on instead of going back after Nelson, who turns 34 next month
