The Green Bay Packers drafted cornerback Kevin King in the second round (33rd overall pick) of the 2017 NFL Draft. Since that time, he's had a problem with injuries. In two seasons, King has played in just 15 games – six last season.

That's definitely stunted King's growth as he hasn't become the cornerback the Packers were hoping for yet. However, he's still just 24 and things can change rather quickly.

Those changes could be coming. According to Ian Rapoport on Twitter, Kevin King is healthy and will be active for the Green Bay Packers training camp.

This is extremely welcome news for Green Bay. Their secondary isn't exactly turning many heads. A large part of that is all the young talent that they having – hoping they can blossom into better players. Of course, it's hard to get better if you're constantly injured.

Hopefully for King, this is the beginning of a healthy season. Although injuries have made him somewhat of a disappointment to many so far – there's no denying the talent and potential that he possesses. It would be fun to see what he could do and how much he could grow if given a full year to do so.

Of course, it's a long season. There's still a lot King and the Packers have to do to even get to the regular season. With that in mind, there's obviously no guarantee that he'll be healthy the entire year – as with any player. With someone like him, that fear is always doubled though – having played in less than half the possible amount of games he could've been in so far.

That being said, it doesn't really matter if you choose to be a “glass half full” or a “glass half empty” person. The stone-cold fact is that as of right now, Kevin King is healthy and ready to participate in the Green Bay Packers training camp.

That's all anyone can ask for.
