The Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers are ready to roll after agreeing on a multi-year extension earlier in the offseason. However, there was some concern after Rodgers failed to show for OTA's. Although it wasn't considered anything overly serious, Packers fans were a bit anxious. But Rodgers did show up to the Packers minicamp and head coach Matt LaFleur believes his presence will be beneficial for the team.

“That is going to be an unknown right now, to see how those guys respond in those situations,” LaFleur said.

LaFleur is stating that the team can come together as a unit and prepare for a variety of different situations with Aaron Rodgers under center at minicamp.

This minicamp will also be the first time Rodgers and Sammy Watkins will be on the field together. Watkins signed a one-year deal with the Packers earlier in the offseason and could become an X-Factor for Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay's offense.

Matt LaFleur will get to see how the quarterback-wide receiver duo unfolds during this minicamp.

Additionally, the presence of Rodgers at the minicamp allows him to establish himself as a leader. Green Bay is desperate for a Super Bowl run after an extraordinary regular season that ended with a disappointing postseason defeat last year. Rodgers and the Packers are gearing up for a deep playoff run during the upcoming season. But a winning season is born in the summer.

Now is the time for this Green Bay Packers squad to establish camaraderie on and off the field.
