Green Bay Packers rookie Jordan Love has a lot to learn before he can keep up with incumbent quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Not much is really expected from Love yet coming into this season, with the Packers still trying to win-now. But so far, head coach Matt LaFleur is seeing a lot he likes from the young signal-caller.

The Packers coach recently addressed the media, singling out his rookie QB.

“He’s very natural and, you know, there’s a lot to clean up right now,” LaFleur said. “He’s a young quarterback that is learning a new system. And just how specific we are with the footwork I think that takes time. But I’m pleased at how he attacks it on a daily basis. I think he’s a really intelligent kid and he’s very athletic, so I think it’s a matter of time before he can pick up mechanics.”

Love is obviously not going to sniff the starting spot anytime soon. However, it looks like he won't even be the primary back-up with veteran Tim Boyle having a solid camp so far.

Despite not having much playing time, this could still be a great situation for Jordan Love. The Green Bay Packers clearly see him as their quarterback of the future. Otherwise, they wouldn't have burned a first round pick on him.

With less pressure to produce, he can take his time and get acclimated to the professional game from behind closed doors. That way, he'll be more than ready when his time comes.
