The Green Bay Packers offense stats weren't super impressive with the total yards on Sunday but a lot of that had to do with the short fields they were given by the Dallas Cowboys and coach Matt LaFleur has seen big improvements with the offense.

Aaron Rodgers threw for 238 yards but the real star of the show was running back Aaron Jones who ran for 107 yards and four touchdowns. He also added seven catches out of the backfield for 75 yards.

LaFleur thinks a big reason they have had more success is guys are getting settled in with the offense, and everyone is more comfortable playing with each other.

“I just think that everybody’s a little bit more comfortable with hearing the play calls,” LaFleur said, via Albert Breer of SI.com. “On that first Thursday night, nobody had, the starters had never played together.

“They didn’t play in the preseason, never make an excuse for that, that was my decision, but I just think they’re more familiar with one another. And they’re starting to come together. But again, there’s a lot of room for improvement. . . . Not only from them but from myself as a play caller.”

The offense does still have a lot of room for improvement but the good news is they are still winning games while the offense is getting better. After the win on Sunday, they moved to 4-1 which puts them in first place in a competitive NFC North.

The Packers offense is going to have a real test next week on Monday Night Football when they take on the Detroit Lions, who slowed down the Chiefs high-powered offense.
