The Green Bay Packers just missed out on another Super Bowl trip and questions already are floating regarding the future of quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Packers head coach Matt LaFleur would obviously love to have Rodgers back especially after the season he had in 2020 (via Ryan Wood of the Green Bay Press-Gazette).

Rodgers is one of the favorites to win the NFL MVP after having a fantastic year in Green Bay. He finished the regular season with 4,299 passing yards, 48 touchdowns and only five interceptions.

He played well and had his team in a position to win late in the game on Sunday before the questionable call by LaFleur to kick a field goal down by eight.

Rodgers finished with 346 yards and three scores with one pick in the loss to the Bucs and life without him would be devastating for Packers fans and LaFleur.

He has spent 16 seasons in the league all in Green Bay and the Packers might not be ready to move on especially after the season he had.

The team surprised everybody by trading up to draft Nevada quarterback Jordan Love in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and Rodgers wasn't too pleased with the selection even, though he said he understood it.

Rodgers played the best football he has in a long time and had this team one score away from another Super Bowl appearance, so it would be surprising to see the future Hall of Fame quarterback walk away after being so close once again.

Either way, LaFleur sure hopes his leader and star player is back in 2021 so they can get revenge and finally make it back to the Super Bowl after two straight losses in the NFC title game.
