The Green Bay Packers will have quite a short week as they are playing on Thursday Night Football. However, their opponents for Thursday Night Football are the strong yet underperforming Philadelphia Eagles.

Moreover, it's been announced that the team's practice schedule is going to be shorter than usual. They skipped Monday and Tuesday practice in preparation for the game.

Some fans have enough reason to worry about the team's conditioning ahead of their upcoming duel. However, first-year head coach Matt LaFleur tried to calm the fans' nerves.

LaFleur talked to the Journal Sentinel and explained why he decided to call off practice for two consecutive days. He said that he made it in consideration of the team's condition.

“I looked at a lot of schedules from previous stops and just kind of took what I felt worked best for us as a football team and I do know the priority is, again, making sure our players are well-rested and making sure that they have a plan that allows them to go out there and play fast and not think a lot,” LaFleur said.

He also said that he worked closely with offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett to focus and tweak their play sheet.

Aaron Rodgers seemingly agreed with his head coach, saying that the team must carry the load and bring the team to victory.

“It's time for us to do our part on offense,” Rodgers said Tuesday, per NFL.com's Jeremy Bergman. “Moving forward, we're going to play a stretch of really good football teams. At some point, we can't expect our defense to shut everybody down. They have been, but at some point the offense is going to have to wake up and start making some plays.”

They will be playing the game with hopes of keeping their unbeaten streak alive. They have a chance of doing just that if LaFleur's approach works out in their favor.
