The Green Bay Packers have arguably one of the best receiving corps in the NFL. The trio of Davante Adams, Randall Cobb, and Jordy Nelson is tough to contend with, especially with a healthy Aaron Rodgers under center.

Unfortunately for Green Bay, having the dynamic trio has become quite costly for the Packers and either Nelson or Cobb likely won't be brought back. NFL.com's Ian Rapoport claims he'd be very surprised if both players are retained with Cobb being the odd man out.

“A couple of other big-name receivers in the NFC,” Rapoport said. “In Green Bay, Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson. Certainly, both of those two names we’re going to keep watching. Cobb due $8.6 million and Nelson up around $10 million. I’ll be very surprised, based on what I’m hearing, if they end up keeping both of them, and just based on their production, it certainly would make a lot of sense if it’s Randall Cobb in the end who is looking for a job.”

Last season, Cobb caught 66 passes for 653 yards and four touchdowns. Virtually identical numbers to the season prior. Nelson, however, saw his production drop off drastically. The 32-year-old wideout recorded 53 receptions for 482 receiving yards and six touchdowns.

In 2016, Nelson caught a career-high 14 touchdown passes to go along with 97 receptions and 1,257 receiving yards.

As for Adams, the Packers recently signed the 25-year-old to four-year, $58 million contract extension. The breakout star's future in Green Bay is secure for the time being as he may quickly become Rodgers' favorite target in the offense in the years to come.
