Indianapolis Colts quarterback Philip Rivers had high praise for Green Bay Packers star Aaron Rodgers ahead of the Week 11 matchup between the two teams.

Rivers marveled at Rodgers' stunning efficiency as a passer and his general ball security throughout his career given some of the throws A-Rod tends to make:

“The number that stands out to me is how few interceptions he's had in all these years with as aggressive as he is as a passer,” Rivers said, via Colts reporter Larra Overton.

Rivers also said Rodgers is an “unbelievable” talent even as he enters the latter stages of his career.

The 36-year-old Packers star is consistently one of the best quarterbacks in football in terms of taking care of the ball. Rodgers has not thrown double-digit interceptions since 2010. He was picked off just six times combined in 2018 and 2019, leading the NFL in interception percentage in each of those seasons.

But Rodgers is hardly a “conservative” passer.

Despite doubts about his home-run passing abilities entering the 2020 season, Rodgers has excelled. The Packers quarterback enters Sunday's matchup with the Colts completing nearly 68 percent of his passes for 2,578 yards and 26 touchdowns against just three interceptions.

Rodgers' touchdown percentage (8.3) is his highest since 2011, and his 8.2 yards gained per pass attempt is his highest mark in that category since 2014. The two-time All-Pro also leads the NFL in quarterback rating and total QBR, per ESPN.

The Colts will pose a tough test for Rodgers and the Packers. Indy's defense ranks first in the NFL in total yards allowed.

However, Rivers undoubtedly understands he will have to perform at a high level to give his team a chance to win with Rodgers on the other sideline.
