Rookie linebacker Kendall Donnerson is the newest addition to the Green Bay Packers' active roster as per the team's official Twitter account.

Donnerson was called up by the team because of an injury to  Ibraheim Campbell. The 26-year-old safety has been placed by the team on the injured reserve list. In their 20-17 loss against the Cardinals, Campbell was second on the team with eight total tackles.

After 13 weeks of waiting, Donnerson will probably see his first play on the field for their next assignment. The Packers will take on the Atlanta Falcons at home in hopes of stopping their three-game losing skid.

Donnerson was one of the last players taken in the 2018 NFL draft. The Packers selected him as the 248th overall pick in the seventh round. But after spending a brief time with the team, he was waived last September. He was then signed to the practice team where he spent the past three months.

The 22-year-old linebacker showed flashes of his speed during the 2018 combine wherein he registered a time of 4.4 seconds in the 40-yard dash. This performance wowed a lot of teams as a result per Brian Jones of 247sports.
