Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson played seven seasons together with the Green Bay Packers. They’re no longer on the same boat, though, as Nelson is now a member of the Oakland Raiders receiving unit.

Cobb recently appeared in the NFL Network and candidly spoke about how unusual it is for him to see his former downfield partner don a set of threads other than Green Bay colors.

“It's going to be very weird. Just seeing him in No. 82 is really weird. But I'm really excited for him. This is a business and this is how things happen. Jordy is everything that we consider the Packer way and it was tough to see him leave. But I'm really excited for his opportunity to be out there in Oakland.”

Nelson spent his first 10 seasons in the league in Green Bay before getting released by the team back in March. Fortunately for Nelson, it did not take long for him to find a new home, as the Raiders capitalized on the opportunity and signed the veteran to a two-year, $14.2 million contract two days after the Packers waived him.

Randall Cobb is also being rumored to be changing teams soon, though, Green Bay has refuted reports that the team is planning to trade the wide receiver.

Cobb and the Packers can get their first glimpse of Nelson in a Raiders uniform Friday night, as they go up against Oakland in a preseason match.
