The Green Bay Packers have undergone some significant changes following their lost 2017 NFL season. It appears wide receiver Randall Cobb feels they have been for the better.

Green Bay's moves have come with their fair share of mixed reviews. However, during an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio, Cobb said the Packers have enough to compete for a Super Bowl:

“I've been very pleased with a lot of the changes that have been made,” Cobb said. “We really have a good squad. I'm looking forward to the season starting and us being out there and trying bringing Lombardi back home again.

Cobb added that their healthy mix of veterans and young players will be an integral part of their success.

“I think we really have a great opportunity. We really have been meshing well this offseason and through the preseason. We have a lot of leadership. We have a lot of older guys but we have a lot of younger guys that have veterans to look up to and learn from and to understand who this game is played.”

Of course, the most notable change this offseason was the departure of wide receiver Jordy Nelson. Cobb and Nelson were once one of the most formidable receiving duos in the league alongside quarterback Aaron Rodgers. However, it became clear that Green Bay was getting ready to part ways with one of their veteran wideouts, and it ultimately turned out to be Nelson.

Regardless, there is still no question that Cobb must elevate his level of play as well. He is coming off back-to-back disappointing seasons in which he failed to register more than 660 yards and four touchdowns. Otherwise, he could soon find himself on the chopping block as well with all the new talent Green Bay added to their receiving corps.

The expectations have not changed for the Packers. They realize they must take advantage of their championship window while Rodgers is still in his prime. Only time will tell whether or not the moves they have made this offseason will allow them to do so.
