The Green Bay Packers overhauled their defense this offseason, and part of that overhaul included drafting Michigan defensive lineman Rashan Gary.

Considered by many to be boom-or-bust type of pick, Gary seems to already be doing all he can to ensure he falls into the former category, as he has trimmed his body fat down to 10 percent:

“I felt that looking at guys like Aaron Donald in the league, you look at their body, you see how they perform and you see what type of training they can do – I wanted to take my body to the next level,” Gary said, according to Wes Hodkiewicz of the Packers' official team website. “So for me, getting down to 10 percent, that was a big thing for me and I can definitely tell the difference.”

Little by little, Gary has been cutting off body fat over the past couple of years.

Two years ago, before his sophomore season at Michigan, he went from 20 percent to 14 percent after cutting ice cream out of his diet. In doing so, he dropped about 10 pounds.

Right now, Gary's meal plan consists of chicken, salmon and broccoli.

Gary is coming off of a junior campaign in which he played just nine games due to a shoulder injury, finishing with 38 tackles, 6.5 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks.

His best collegiate season came during his sophomore year, when he totaled 58 tackles, 11.5 tackles for loss and 5.5 sacks.
