It's been a roller coaster of a season for the Carolina Panthers so far. However, the franchise is excited about the remainder of the year now that Cam Newton is back on the roster. He seems to be picking things up quickly, as the former MVP looks to be the starting quarterback against the Washington Football Team.

According to Joe Person, “Matt Rhule says ‘we're trending' toward Cam newton starting.” In other words, Newton will be starting for the Panthers on Sunday. He looked great in his limited role in Week 10 and Carolina is ecstatic for their matchup against Washington.

There is overwhelming confidence that Cam Newton will start for the Carolina Panthers. According to Ian Rapoport, Rhule's claim of Newton “trending toward” starting is a strong indication that Newton will play. Rapoport is so confident, he claims, “I picked him up in fantasy last Thursday at around 11 am and will be starting him on Sunday.”

Not only are the Panthers excited about Newton playing the Washington Football Team, but it seems everybody is back on the Cam Newton hype train. He has a solid group around him, as Christian McCaffrey provides consistency out of the backfield, while DJ Moore and Robby Anderson are two talented receivers at Newton's disposal.

Also, don't forget about Tommy Tremble. Newton has a history of targeting the tight end position often. We could see the Panthers' rookie receive a major boost in production on Sunday. It's been a while since we've seen Cam Newton connect with Greg Olsen, but Tremble has the potential to be a reliable pass option for years to come.

We'll see how it plays out, but one thing is for sure. Cam Newton is officially the starting quarterback for the Carolina Panthers once again.
