Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey established himself as a premier workhorse in the 2018 NFL season. It is clear he is not looking to slow down any time soon.

McCaffrey has done what he can to ensure Carolina that he is capable of handling a heavy workload out of the backfield.

The Panthers provided proof that he continues to look the part of a workhorse back, via Twitter:

McCaffrey's physique should come as no surprise. He made it a point last offseason to bulk up in preparation for the central role he was set to take on in the Panthers' offense. It is safe to say that he is continuing to follow through on his commitment.

All the hard work has certainly paid off for McCaffrey. He thrived in his new role as Carolina's bell-cow back. His versatile skill set as both a runner and receiver quickly made him into one of the most explosive weapons in the NFL.

As a result, he finished the 2018 campaign with 1,098 yards and seven touchdowns rushing to go with 107 receptions for 867 yards and six touchdowns through the air. While McCaffrey may not have been selected to the Pro Bowl, he did earn second-team All-Pro honors.

Despite his massive success last season, the Panthers have indicated that they would like to lessen McCaffrey's workload in order to alleviate any unnecessary wear and tear. This may be difficult to do considering he is their best playmaker both in the run game and the passing game as well.

Fortunately, it is clear that the 22-year-old is preparing to take on all challenges in the 2019 NFL season.
