The Carolina Panthers have been trying to redeem themselves from the slump they've adjusted to in the majority of their games lately. Aside from besting the Detroit Lions in Week 11, the bulk of their season has saw more upsets than not. However, their chances of turning things around just increased coming to Week 14 against the Denver Broncos.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, star running back Christian McCaffrey will be available for action against the Broncos after being sidelined with a shoulder injury:

McCaffrey missed a bit of time with a shoulder injury he sustained against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 9. The 24-year old halfback had just returned to action following a high ankle sprain that he sustained in Week 2 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In total, McCaffrey has only played in three games this season.

Even so, McCaffrey is undoubtedly the leader of this Panthers team. He's coming off a 2019 season in which he tallied 1,387 rushing yards from 287 carries while averaging 4.8 yards per rush. The Panthers also will welcome back his spirited talents in the downfield. He finished last season with 1,005 receiving yards while completing 81.7 percent of his targets.

If McCaffrey can stay healthy throughout the remainder of the season, he could help ignite a last-minute push for the Panthers as they brace for their incredibly slim chances of making the playoffs.

Either way, it all starts with McCaffrey taking the field in Week 14. The Panthers have a bye week currently, which further aids in McCaffrey having additional time to rest his shoulder.
