The Carolina Panthers moved to 3-0 after their Thursday night victory over the Houston Texans. However, the Panthers were dealt a major blow after the injury to star running back Christian McCaffrey, who was ruled out after suffering a hamstring injury early in the game.

On Friday, there was an update about McCaffrey. Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Panthers star is set to miss some time, although a trip to the IR isn't in the plans at the moment.

The Panthers will turn to rookie Chuba Hubbard, who took over on Thursday night and did decently. The Panthers are off to a hot 3-0 start with a resurgence from quarterback Sam Darnold, and this could be a major blow to their major success early in the season.

Next up for the Panthers is a matchup against Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys, then the Philadelphia Eagles, and the team will continue to run tests to see the severity of McCaffrey's injury.

The star running back played just a few games in 2020, and now they have to find another way to get by without him, at least for the next few weeks. Just another brutal blow to McCaffrey, who was finally feeling healthy and enjoying a nice start to the 2021 campaign.
