Carolina Panthers star running back Christian McCaffrey is planning on teaching students piano lessons virtually via audio electronics company Bose’s Instagram page.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the 23-year-old first-time Pro Bowl rusher in 2019 has partnered with Bose to go live on Instagram and give a group piano lesson in an effort to raise money for COVID-19 relief. McCaffrey, a third-year pro with Carolina, has Bose donating to “22 and You,” the running back’s own charity for workers in the healthcare sector.
As part of Bose’s #MusicGivesBack initiative, Christian McCaffrey will be giving group piano lessons live on Bose’s Instagram on Wednesday, April 8th at Noon ET. Bose also also will be donating to McCaffrey’s recently-announced 22 and You program for COVID-19 relief.

Besides demonstrating his hidden talent live on social media this Wednesday, McCaffrey is the Panthers’ giving star running back, now teamed up with new quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in the backfield. During the 2020 NFL offseason, Carolina signed the former first-round pick out of Louisville to a three-year, $63 million deal to improve the QB position a year removed from Cam Newton going down in the first couple of weeks in 2019 and undrafted signal-caller Kyle Allen having to pick up the slack last season.
McCaffrey plans to give back to medical workers who are on the frontline of the coronavirus, a worldwide pandemic afflicting millions with hundreds of thousands possibly carrying COVID-19 but not displaying symptoms. Working at crowded hospitals with the contagious virus present, these employees are facing the persistent threat of contracting coronavirus as well despite their best efforts to help patients.
McCaffrey will enter the 2020 season with the Panthers, his fourth year as a pro, as the unambiguous leader on the field. Off the field, McCaffrey is a leader too given his charity efforts with 22 and You and partnership with Bose for coronavirus relief.
