Carolina Panthers superstar running back Christian McCaffrey is one of the best players in the NFL, having dominated in each of the last few years and establishing himself as the most lethal dual-threat in the league. With that said, he's getting paid pretty incredibly, too.

McCaffrey recently signed a four-year, $64 million contract extension with the Panthers, making him the highest-paid running back in NFL history. His latest contract will pay him an average of $16 million annually.

According to Jori Epstein of USA Today though, McCaffrey made a strong pitch to land the record-breaking deal.

“You want to hire someone who speaks three languages great rather than one language good,” the Panthers RB said. “I felt like I could do that on the football field.”

It's definitely hard to poke holes in that. In fact, the only argument you could probably make is that Christian McCaffrey is more than just “great” at most of the things he does on a football field.

Basically, McCaffrey is saying that a lot of players are one-dimensional. A running back could be a great runner but isn't much of a receiver, or he could be a good receiving back but not much of a runner.

At the same time, a runner could be great when it comes to finesse but isn't much of a power back, and vice versa.

McCaffrey does it all for the Panthers, and he's incredible at everything. He can be a power back that fights for those extra few yards and can bully his way to a first down or a touchdown. At the same time, he can juke anyone up and run 80-yards to the house.

Moreover, everyone knows just how incredible the 23-year-old running back is when it comes to the receiving game.

McCaffrey has certainly shown why he deserves his deal. Put simply, he let his football do the talking.
