Fantasy football managers with Carolina Panthers wide receivers on the roster might have to make adjustments ahead of the fantasy playoffs.

The Panthers announced eight players were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, including DJ Moore (who's positive) and Curtis Samuel:

“Wide receivers DJ Moore and Curtis Samuel were among the eight players placed on the list Monday as the team came back from the bye,” per Darin Gantt of the team's website. “Also given that designation were defensive tackles Derrick Brown and Zach Kerr, linebacker Shaq Thompson, tackle Greg Little, and punter Michael Palardy (who is on injured reserve), while wide receiver Ishmael Hyman will go on practice squad/COVID-19.”

“In addition to last week's additions of defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos and practice squad defensive tackle Bruce Hector, that gives the Panthers 10 players hitting COVID-19 lists in the last week.”

It had been reported Sunday that multiple Panthers players tested positive for COVID-19, though it did not impact Sunday's slate of games since Carolina was on a bye week.

However, the extent of the problem could make for an interesting roster as the Panthers prepare to play the Denver Broncos in Week 14.

Moore is on the cusp of a second consecutive 1,000-yard season. The third-year wideout has 50 receptions for 924 yards and four touchdowns, ranking second in the league in yards per reception (18.5).

Samuel's season got off to a bit of a slow start, but his production has picked up of late with four total touchdowns over the last five games. The 24-year-old has also earned a steadier target share in recent weeks.

With Moore testing positive and Samuel deemed a “close contact,” Carolina's offense could be thin for its game against the Broncos, though star running back Christian McCaffrey is expected to return.

The Panthers sit at just 4-8 on the season.
