The Carolina Panthers have fallen behind against the Indianapolis colts at halftime. Receiver DJ Moore will not be able to finish the game.

According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, he has been ruled out with a concussion:

Panthers’ WR DJ Moore ruled out with a concussion.

The absence of Moore undoubtedly deals a crushing blow to Carolina's receiving corps for quarterback Will Grier. Grier had already been trying to find his footing in his first career start and the rookie will have his work cut out without one of his mot viable options in the passing game for the second half.

The Panthers made quite the investment when they took Moore with the 24th overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. He showed plenty of promise during his rookie campaign and the viral video of his interaction with former wide receiver Steve Smith solidified the notion that he was ready to take that next step. fortunately, it is safe to say that he has managed to live up to the expectations.

Aside from running back Christian McCaffrey, Moore has been one of the few bright spots in this offense. He is currently in the midst of a breakout 2019 NFL season after topping over 1,000 receiving yards. Perhaps even more impressive is that he has managed to do it despite all the changes under center this season.

While the severity of the concussion has yet to be determined, it is safe to say that the Panthers will take a cautious approach with his status for the season finale.
